Silks - Make-up class

ladyspriteThis is mostly just going to be notes on what we did - I had a make-up session for the week I missed today, so I was dropping into a different class with different students, which meant entirely different material.
It was a bit frustrating at first, but at the same time.... we're starting to get to the cool stuff now.....
-Flamenco climb (French climb foothold, opposite hand flamenco grip, dive through and side bend)
-Opposite-side knee hook, opposite-side catcher's lock
-Salto drop (opposite-side knee hook and catcher's lock, sit up with silks over your shoulder, dive through and hold tail taut in front with free hand in straight arm. Hold above your head with other arm, stiff body and legs, let go and flip forward)
Cross-back straddle-->splits-->coffin (cross-back straddle; untie foot that is on the outside silk. Grip the free silk between your legs with both hands, tag the free silk with the free foot. Rotate into a standing split/arabesque, keep the fabric in the small of your back. Slide your grip down. Bend the anchored leg to the outside of the fabrics, swing your free leg through, straighten both legs until you're lying parallel to the floor)
