Pssst. FYI there's this mass migration off LJ to Dreamwidth.org, and you might really want to join it.
It's trivial to port a LJ journal with all comments into DW (doesn't get Scrapbook, the Inbox, Memories; doesn't import embedded video correctly) – at least for now. That window seems to be closing very fast, with LJ's new ToS, which apparently has a new no-automation clause.
In any event, I'll be abandoning LJ soon; I'm already giving up posting here, having moved over to DW.
