There are many wise things one can do the night before going to work in a new office. It is wise, for example, to print out directions to the office and read over them to be sure that they make sense. It is wise to make sure you have enough gas in your car to get there, and clean clothes to wear. Packing a backpack or carrying-bag with any equipment and information you might need also makes sense. It can even be wise to take a long, hot bath and relax as much as you can, and make sure you get a full night's sleep.

It is not wise, however, to stub your toe with enough force that, four hours and two icepacks later, you still cannot bear weight fully on the offended foot. As a matter of fact, I'd even be willing to call that downright contraindicated.

Ow, ow, ow, stupid frustrating ignominious ow.....

In my life, I have regularly stubbed my big toes when I've become busy. It's a hazard of being me, and you don't have permission to exchange places with me. So stop stubbing your toe!
