Needs Versus Reality

There are many things I need right now, in my life. I need a pretty box to put cards in at the reception. I need ink for my guest book pen. I need enough ribbon to finish my handfasting cord. I need an automatic thank-you-card writing machine, so my hand doesn't fall off while paying tribute to the awe-inspiring generosity of my friends.

I do not need a raging head cold. Unfortunately, that is what I have right now.

Please, anyone with good thoughts to spare, send a little hope my way that this passes quickly instead of settling into my normal three-month bronchitis....
