Time To Have Fun, Damnit
Nov. 10th, 2008 07:12 amI am On Vacation. Away from work for a week, and doing my level best to relax.
I have already been to a beautiful wedding, seen many long-lost friends that I haven't had the chance to catch up with in way too long, met a good friend's SO, and discovered a lovely little restaurant.
Today we're going to tourist around a city I've visited many times but never actually explored, meet other friends for dinner, and then going out dancing.
Sounds perfect, doesn't it?
It probably would be, if it weren't for the insomnia that yanked me out of bed in a deep panic at 6am. Darnit, I went on vacation to get away from that kind of stuff. To remember how to breathe, and how to think about something other than whatever happens to be worrying me at the moment.
Oh, well. At least I have borrowed internet to distract me. And when this is done, I have the new Kelley Armstrong novel, which is even better than the last couple she's written. And in an hour or two my better half will be up, and we will go exploring, and there will be good friends and good food and dancing tonight.
Dancing at the wedding. Dancing tonight. Dancing at Intercon this coming weekend. If this doesn't heal my soul, nothing will.....
