Missing Pieces

It has been brought to my attention that I have never read 'Repent, Harlequin, Said the Ticktock Man.' As a nigh-religious Harlan Ellison fan, this is an oversight that I need to remedy immediately.

It has also been brought to my attention that I have never read 'The Man In The Iron Mask.' And if I'm ever going to see the movie, I want to read the book first.

It's situations like this that end up with me getting the oddest looks from the librarians at the checkout desk, when I walk out with a stack of SF novels, classic literature, embarrassing chick lit books on CD, the newest Forbidden Broadway album, and a couple of workout DVDs.

I refuse to be pigeonholed. Or if I am, it's going to be a large, cluttered, and strange hole....

Letter To The Universe

Dear World,

Please, no more friends, family members, or acquaintances dead or diagnosed with terminal illnesses, at least for the next month. This makes three in less than a week.

I am seriously ready for something - ANYTHING - good to happen right now.
