More Things to Remember
Jan. 14th, 2010 10:15 pmNo matter how horrible a day is, from start to finish, my day can and will always be made better by coming home.
Home. It's such a wonderful world, and just the feeling of it in my mouth and my mind makes my shoulders loosen and my breathing slow down and my thoughts smooth out.
I have a husband who loves me, and picks up pizza to be ready when I get home after a 14-hour day. I have my comfy sofa, and an afghan my mother made for me, and my cats, and it is warm and bright and safe and even if there are things I have to do, there is nothing that can't wait until I sit down and have some tea and catch my breath.
I have gone from hating today, the world, and everything in it to being full of gratitude for all of the blessings I have. Today is just one day, and it is, for all practical purposes, over, and I am home. This is a goodness.
