Hey, Big Guy In Charge Of The Weather!

Yes, you. You with the beard and the long white robes, who somehow bears a strong resemblance to a big redheaded dude with a strong protective streak and poor impulse control, and yet also looks a lot like a busty round chick, and sometimes when I squint right has a kitty-head, or maybe antlers -

Anyway. I digress. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that I am in West Virginia. *West.* Not north. Not Virgarctica. As a matter of fact, I am several hundred miles south of my primary residence in New England, which is not at this time being snowed upon.

North means snow. West and south means, in any rational universe, less snow. It is October right now, and I am really not ready to handle this freezing white stuff you're tossing my way. Please, could you send it back where it belongs, or at least hold onto it for just a little longer?

Or, barring that, if you're going to insist on sticking me into a universe that defies logic and rules, could I grow pixie-wings and shoot rainbow beams of happiness out my eyes? Because that makes about as much sense as snow in the southern half of the east coast before November....

Here in lovely Boston, it's raining again. I think this might actually qualify as a Nor'Easter. Wanna swap? : )

Meanwhile, in northern Maine, it is slushing.

But, alas, not delicious blue-raspberry-flavored slush.

It's less than a week before Halloween. That qualifies as winter north of Atlanta, right? ;-)

Besides, you're in the Ohio Valley, meteorologically. That changes everything.

So how cute is David Samuel?

It's snowing over an uncomfortably large portion of VT and NH right now. :-( I mean, really, the leaves haven't finished their show yet. :-(

I've seen reports of 12 inches of snow in western Maryland, not too far from where you're staying these days. Here by the Chesapeake Bay the rain has been steady and cold all day, slanting in at about 45 degrees.

I think I saw those rainbow beams of happiness coming from your eyes this past weekend...

"You with the beard and the long white robes..."
Ahem, yes?

"[I]f you're going to insist on sticking me into a universe that defies logic and rules, could I grow pixie-wings and shoot rainbow beams of happiness out my eyes?"
Honey, you already shoot rainbow beams of happiness out of your eyes. The pixie wings are out of stock, but we should be getting a new lot in about two weeks.
Anything else?
