ladyspriteWow. I think, aside from being away on my honeymoon, this is the longest I've gone without posting since I started this journal.
I'm not quite dead, just extraordinarily overwhelmed by life. Bit by bit, though, I'm starting to knock stuff off my to-do list. Trip to DC and continuing education conference is done, and Boston Babydolls rehearsing and performing are over. Pennsic is a hell of a lot closer than I'd like, but on the other hand that also means that before too long it'll also be out of the way.
I'm still exhausted down to my bones, and feeling a bit like life is chewing me up and spitting me out, but I'm alive. I have good friends, and I'm not in too bad of a place. And I'm still managing to find time to keep up with the yoga.
I've learned that getting into DC is a lot easier than getting out, but that's a story for another day. I've also learned that migraines were a lot more fun when I was younger, but that's not a pleasant story for anyone.
In spite of all the junk still on my must-accomplish list, I've given myself a gift of today as a free-day. I've been nibbling at my copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows off and on all day - I've never been one to smash my way through a book in the fastest time possible, just like I've never tried to gobble my way through a gourmet dinner as quick as I possibly can, so I'm not likely to finish tonight, but I'm enjoying what I've read so far. And in between bits of book time, I finally managed to go see 'Hairspray.' I have now seen Christopher Walken and John Travolta dance a tango together; my life is complete.
I'm tired. I'm still stressy and anxious, and life isn't perfect. But it has some damn good stuff in it. And if I can get my classes and clothing ready in time for Pennsic, I should be out of obstacles for at least a little while.....

I was iffy on whether or not I wanted to see Hairspray, but now I have to. That has got to be too good to pass up.
