ladyspriteWhat to say, where to begin, how to start? So a bunch of people I happen to think are pretty keen were all rhapsodizing to me about this livejournal thing, and I thought I'd give it a try.
I've kept journals before, mostly at confusing times, and they sort of helped me keep a handle on reality and my own mind. But they were always private, and there was something magic just about the act of writing itself - spiral-bound notebooks and ballpoint pens have developed a kind of ritual significance for me that I don't know if a keyboard will ever be able to duplicate.
On the other hand, things aren't as confusing now, and I have a better idea of my own mind than I ever did before. And if I'm doing something constructive like putting my thoughts into words, I suppose it doesn't count as a time-waste. So, here I am. I'm giving this a try, and I think I'm going to like it.....
