I have a stuff-to-do:time mismatch, I think.

It's been a busy day, at the end of a busy long weekend. Friday was unexpectedly free, but I wound up spending it doing laundry, unpacking from Intercon, running errands, returning recycling, finishing a coat I was making for a friend's daughter, walking to the bank and the library, experimenting with a new workout, and translating a couple of recipes for this weekend's SCA Cooks Guild meeting. Yesterday was driving, baking (chocolate raspberry bread, which came out much better than I expected it to), a whole lot of planning for the Crafts Fair and Bake Sale that [livejournal.com profile] tpau and I are hosting to raise funds for the 3 Day Walk, practicing and prepping for an upcoming Babydolls show, and some last-minute housecleaning.

Today I woke up at a decent hour, had breakfast, checked my email, and put together an email list for the crafts fair. I tried another new workout, this one at the top of my ability level, and helped finish tidying the house. I spent another half hour or so working with Oberon to get him ready for the Babydolls show. I put together a meal plan and shopping list for the next week. I hosted the Cooks Guild meeting, and played around making garlic sauce and cooking skate.

And now.... it's done. There's still sunlight outside, but I've pretty much run through my to-do list. And I'm not sure what to do now.

Oh, there are always projects to work on. I've got a baby afghan I'm crocheting that I could make some progress on. I still have some handwashing that needs to be done, and I ought to reorganize and repack my garb bins. I could start sketching out plans for this summer's garden. I have some beads and stuff, I've been meaning to try my hand at putting together some simple pieces of jewelry for the crafts fair. The guest room is a wreck and I really ought to clean it.

But none of that *has* to be done right this minute. And so right now I'm mostly just feeling a little dazed and confused - it's the mental equivalent of that feeling you get when you've been on one of those moving sidewalks at the airport, and then step off onto regular floor, and there's a slightly disorienting jolt as suddenly the world isn't moving anymore.

I'm caught up. What the heck am I supposed to do now?

Take a bubble bath with a favorite book.

Sit outside in what remains of the sun with a warm cup of tea.

You're supposed to relax, and remember what that feels like.

I still haven't unpacked all the way from Intercon.
