When Interests Collide

It's clear that I've been hanging out in and around Burlesque for quite some time when I realize I can't listen to this song without automatically mentally punctuating it with poses, grinds, and clothing removes.

Sadly, other than the lyrics, it's an utterly perfect piece of music for just that.

(Psst - hey, new_man - you should totally put together a New Year's show that involves a performance for each holiday through the year! Have someone jump out of a cake personifying the New Year, and then Valentine's Day, and a group piece for Saint Patrick's Day.... I'm sure you could find a Big Band cover of 'Here Comes Peter Cottontail' for Easter, and then you could absolutely justify this for Halloween.....)

I go through the same thing. And each time a song comes up that I used to use as an exotic dance piece I have to remember 'At someone's wedding, don't dance slutty to this...."

That's a really good idea. Not this New Year's... but maybe next one. 12 numbers is just the right length for a show.
