And now, your annual chance to dress
ladysprite up in your clothes and watch what happens!
(No, nothing tawdry; I am in serious need of some costuming help for Intercon in March, and would appreciate any help anyone could offer.)
Item 1: I have been cast as a "saloon girl" in an Old West-style game. Being one of perhaps five women in fandom/gaming who does not own a corset, this is proving rather difficult to pull off with just the stash in my costume closet. I have some mediocre stuff that could work in a pinch, if I could borrow a crinoline, but that's a last resort.
So, does anybody have anything... well, saloon-girl-y, in a size smallish, that I could borrow? Or, barring that, a crinoline?
Item 2: Does anybody have a set of fairy wings that I could borrow? I'd be more than willing to buy my own, but given how far we are from Halloween and Ren Faire season, they're proving a bit hard to find.
Thanks in advance, and payment offered in the form of gratitude, praise, and baked goods.....

Date: 2011-02-24 01:22 am (UTC)To be fair, the skirt is clearly meant for a woman seven feet tall, as I have to pull the waistband clear up to my armpits to keep it from dragging the ground *too* badly, but if I ever need to dress like a 1971 hippie chick, this will be a *great* dress for it. And the skirt is absolutely gorgeous. I may ask my sister some time to remover one of the panels so I can wear it as meant, but hell, with some creative pinning, I can make it look like it has a bustle when it doesn't, AND keep it from dragging through the mud.
