ladyspriteNo more Buffy for me. At least not for quite some time. I know it's my favorite show, but apparently watching a decent chunk of the Thanksgiving marathon, followed by sharing the first Season 2 DVD with my new-to-the-series friend last night was too much for my fragile psyche. I spent most of the hours between midnight and 5am wrapped in nightmares, dreaming that I was the new apprentice Slayer. Of course, this is a role that didn't come with any of the phenomenal keen Slayer powers, and it did nothing to counteract my deep compulsion to never engage in physical violence, and everything culminated in me mistakenly stabbing one poor woman over and over again, convinced that she was a vampire and I was just missing her heart.
Yuck. And ick. And yuck again. It could have been worse, I suppose - at least I've never had X-Files nightmares. And thankfully, this isn't the sort of dream that'll stay with me after waking up - it's pretty much evaporating with the dawn. But still, I think I'm glad that the show is going into reruns for a while.....
