I Love You All

ladyspriteI just wanted to say, since it's more likely to meet everyone's eyes here and more tidy than repeating it in over a dozen different replies, that I love all of you for your contributions to the conversation in my last post.
It's fascinating and insightful and educational, and it's just really freaking cool to watch y'all talk about it openly and frankly, and share, and no one is yelling or arguing (not that you ever do; I just worry when I post potentially inflammatory stuff) and I'd pitch in, I swear I would, but I'm just enjoying watching and listening so much. Because I *know* what I think, and it's so interesting to see so many other points of view. And the more I read from you, the more I think I understand.
And it's pointing out a few of my own blind spots to me as well - I admit, I hadn't realized my own internal bias to assume that, in the absence of other information, most people grew up with a background like mine. It's reassuring to know that that's not true, in a lot of different ways. And once those pitfalls are visible, I can start seeing where others are; not just on this one subject, but on others as well.
So thank you, guys. I have the most awesome, thought-provoking friends in the world....
