Arisia Lament

I was really looking forward to Arisia.

Unfortunately, it looks like that's not likely to be possible at this point. I'm still in a ton of pain after the car accident, and the meds that take the edge off the pain leave me at best semiconscious. I can walk across the living room, but I have trouble taking stairs without help, and everything - even sitting up - hurts like crazy.

And on top of that, it seems that either I'm fighting some kind of stomach bug or that going back on high doses of all my meds is putting me back into GI misery. Anyway, the end result is that I'm back to spending most of my days mostly out of it, lying on the sofa, nibbling yogurt and sipping ginger ale.

If I wind up getting drastically better super-quick, I may be able to make it for at least Saturday - but I can't count on that, and there's pretty much no way I can make it for the whole weekend. Ah, well. Y'all have fun, and if I make it on Saturday please say hi and (carefully) give me a hug....

Sorry for your pain. There might be a bug going around - I know someone with GI distress + a fever.
