ladyspriteThere aren't really too many things I need in my life, right now. If I were to enumerate them all, the list would probably be fairly short, and would include such things as a full-time job for myself and another one for my husband, a second car, and a magic wand to fix all of my friends' problems.
The list would not include, however, being rear-ended by a goon in an SUV while driving to a job interview this morning. Not even vaguely.
On the other hand, the car and I both came out of the incident more or less unscathed, and there's a certain smug sense of thumbing one's nose at the universe when you can survive something like that, still get to the interview ten minutes early, and walk out with a job offer. Coming home to two more requests for interviews in my email doesn't hurt, either. Especially when the resumes were sent out last night.
Sometimes, once in a very blue moon, I am utterly astounded by my own coolness.
