Staunchly Dodging Reality
Aug. 28th, 2007 10:20 pmIn an effort to ignore the impingement of reality and upcoming changes in my life, I have thrown myself into crafting with an alarming level of energy. In the past week, I've taken up decoupage, taught myself the basics of labanotation, and started serious work on a costuming project that has been stuck in the back of my head for at least a couple of years.
I've also started catching up on email, finally bought new jeans for the fist time in human memory, and scheduled the upcoming weeks within an inch of my life.
I've got a lovely new decorated box for my BPAL bottles, and a rough draft of my possible future tattoo, but when I pause the world is still out there, work is still complicated, home-buying is still moving forward, and my mind is still racing.
I should probably write about the details, and I promise I will as soon as I calm down about them enough to comfortably keep them in the front of my mind for more than a few minutes, but in the meantime I'm starting to run out of distractions....
